Marcia Moran + Isabella Collection

Adara Snake Necklace

Adara Snake Necklace

I am extremely excited and honored to introduce the full launch of the MM + ISABELLA collection!!!

You all know I am a huge fan of Marcia Moran’s jewelry. I own several pieces now and wear them all the time. These are classic pieces in gold and a few druzy pieces—and all definitely things you’d call statement jewelry. (For anyone wondering, druzy is essentially crystal-coated rock. It’s sparkly but subtle, and it was Marcia’s druzy pieces that I first became obsessed with.)

So when Marcia approached me back in November to debut a collection bearing my name, I was beyond thrilled!

We’ve actually done three other collaborations. The first one goes back to my first year as an influencer two years ago. I knew about her only from seeing her pieces on other people on Instagram. So I remember being so tickled to have been asked if I would like to feature some of her jewelry on my “gram”!

Working with Marcia usually meant the opportunity to get first pick of pieces from her latest collection at the time, then I would get to feature them on my social media channels.

This collaboration was a little different: It was a lot of fun being a part of Marcia’s design process as she is so talented! I started by sharing a few inspiration photos for a necklace, along with my ideas of how I wanted the piece to really look. Then Marcia transformed the suggestions into sketches. I liked the idea of a necklace with a serpent, and that became the “Adara” necklace you see here. She sent me sketches for other articles she happened to be working on and took my input for each.

These are the nine pieces that make up the collection:

·       Adara snake necklace

·       Batel statement ring

·       Avia medium tube hoops

·       Marcela butterfly necklace

·       Herta butterfly ring

·       Ayla link tube hoops

·       Nava snake ring

·       Noemi butterfly stud earrings

·       Rut snake cuff earrings

You’ll notice snakes, butterflies, and some interesting geometry make up this collection. Maybe that’s eclectic and unexpected, but that’s part of what I like about Marcia’s style. Her jewelry isn’t flashy, but they make a statement. You’ll notice them.

Like most of Marcia’s other pieces, all the items come in brushed 18K gold-plated metal. The brushed texture gives her jewelry an interesting look. A few of the designs also come with details in semiprecious stones. The pieces are handmade in Brazil, and materials are likewise sourced from there.

You can check all these out on Marcia Moran’s website and use ISABELLA15 for 15% off your purchase!

It’s always a joy working with Marcia and her team. But I also love the fact that she is a woman and an immigrant who has worked hard to follow her dreams here in the U.S.—which are things I can relate to.

Marcia moved from Brazil to Los Angeles as a dentist with her young family but had always dreamt of working in the fashion industry. She saw the opportunity to pursue her passion and now she’s worked in her creative career in luxury costume jewelry for close to two decades. I admire and respect the work it must have taken to establish herself and turn her dreams into reality in a new country.

I’m an immigrant myself, and both my children were born here after I moved from the Philippines. I appreciate this country as the land of opportunity—if you are willing to put in the work, you can make your dreams come true. I wouldn’t have imagined I’d end up an online influencer either, but look where we are!

So, from one expressive woman to another—

Hope you enjoy the collection!
